The district government’s work report explicitly calls for accelerating the enhancement of innovation-driven development. As a national hub for mining ventilation fans, Yanhuhu District has leveraged its deep industrial heritage to give rise to Shanxi Anyun Fan, an industry benchmark. The company’s independently developed continuous‑operation reversing system not only boasts a 75% self‑sufficiency rate in core components—the highest nationwide—demonstrating formidable technical strength, but also secures a market share exceeding 35%, firmly anchoring it among the sector’s leaders. By precisely addressing longstanding safety challenges in traditional coal‑mine ventilation systems, this solution has become a shining emblem of “Made in Yanhuhu,” safeguarding miners’ lives. Today, let us follow the reporter’s lens as we unlock the core secrets behind this cutting‑edge product.
Reporter Wen Huimin
Did you know? In coal‑mine operations, ventilation fans are often referred to as the “life‑saving respirators” for underground workers. Yet the brief shutdowns that occur during conventional fan reversals can easily lead to the accumulation of methane—a persistent safety challenge that has long eluded effective solutions in the industry. Today, we’ve come to Shanxi Anyun Fan Co., Ltd., where the non‑stop‑ventilation fan reversal system they’ve developed represents a key breakthrough—part of the “Yanhu Intelligent Manufacturing” initiative—that addresses this critical pain point.
Stepping into Anyun Fan’s smart manufacturing workshop, the reporter observed CNC laser cutting machines precisely shaping steel plates, intelligent welding robots producing uniform welds, and proprietary die-cast aluminum blades undergoing precision machining on a five-axis machining center. From the highly efficient design of nickel-chromium alloy blade parameters to the selection of BS600MC high-strength alloy steel for door frames, every stage of this “intelligent manufacturing” process reflects meticulous craftsmanship. Meanwhile, the reason why the continuous‑fan reversal system has been able to address longstanding industry challenges lies in its unique technical design and end-to-end innovative configuration.

As the “intelligent brain” of mine ventilation fans, the continuous‑fan reversal system can precisely address the industry’s key pain points. So what are its technological highlights?
Li Jingzhe, General Manager of Shanxi Anyun Fan Co., Ltd.
When highlighting the key advantage of our non‑stop‑ventilation reversing fan, we first contrast it with conventional fans: traditional units must cease ventilation and reverse operation whenever a reversal is required, forcing the mine to suspend production during such downtime. By contrast, our intelligent reversing fan enables one‑button switching and one‑button reversal while maintaining constant airflow. Throughout the reversal process, underground gas concentrations, air volume, and air pressure remain stable and consistent—this constitutes the first major benefit of our non‑stop‑ventilation system. Thanks to its integration with Siemens PLCs, we can implement smart, one‑button control, significantly reducing safety risks. Moreover, our proprietary louvered damper reduces air leakage to below 1%, effectively minimizing energy loss. Our system also supports real‑time monitoring, transmitting all sensor data to the mine’s dispatch center and the electromechanical equipment management network, while preserving all parameters recorded during reversal—including air volume, air pressure, and vibration‑related sensor readings—thus achieving integrated, centralized monitoring and control.

Our continuous wind‑reversal system stands out among numerous products. In your view, what is the most critical core competitive advantage?
Li Jingzhe, General Manager of Shanxi Anyun Fan Co., Ltd.
Most importantly, we boast the highest domestic self-sufficiency rate in the industry. The wind turbine’s core components comprise four key parts, listed from front to back: the blades, the motor, the nacelle housing, and the electrical control system. At present, Anyun has achieved full in-house production for the blades, full in-house production for the nacelle housing, and complete self-reliance in our electrical control systems. In other words, Anyun’s self-sufficiency rate for core components has reached 75%, the highest nationwide.
Li Jingzhe, General Manager of Shanxi Anyun Fan Co., Ltd.
At present, Anyun’s products are sold across major mining groups throughout China and are exported to countries including Russia, Nepal, Indonesia, Tanzania, and Colombia, earning consistent acclaim from customers both at home and abroad. We currently hold the No. 1 market share nationwide in China and Indonesia, and the largest explosion-proof counter‑rotating ventilation fan for mining applications exported from China is manufactured by Anyun. Looking ahead, we will develop additional fan product lines, expand into non‑coal markets, and fully leverage our existing technological expertise.
By forging a solid technological foundation through independent innovation and strengthening its core competencies through end-to-end supply-chain control, Anyun Fan’s journey to industry leadership stands as a vivid testament to the high‑quality development of “Yanhuhu Fans.” Today, Yanhuhu District has attracted 12 fan‑manufacturing enterprises, creating an industrial scale with an annual output value of approximately RMB 1 billion. Meanwhile, Anyun Fan’s pioneering innovations are setting a benchmark for the region’s industrial transformation. Looking ahead, Anyun Fan will continue to harness technological innovation as its driving force, deepening its expertise in mining safety equipment, ensuring that “Made in Yanhuhu” ventures beyond China’s borders and reaches the global stage, thereby injecting sustained momentum into Yanhuhu District’s efforts to become a national-level advanced manufacturing hub.
Li Jingzhe, General Manager of Shanxi Anyun Fan Co., Ltd.
Looking ahead, we plan to establish a wind turbine industry alliance to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing with our peers. We will share our technologies and leverage our customer‑channel networks. We firmly believe that only through cluster‑based, collaborative development can “Yanhu Wind Turbines” become a renowned brand—both in China and on the global stage.
